Ed Harney, of Paramus (Bergen County) -- an experienced skydiver -- He jumped with three other experienced skydivers with Sky’s the Limit Skydiving Center around 11:30 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police said.
The group jumped from approximately 14,000 feet. At 5,000 feet, it appeared Harney’s parachute was the first to open, but he began to spin, eventually separating from his parachute.
The coroner will release an official cause of death after an autopsy, but PSP says the death was accidental.
Authorities were called to a wooded area near 343 Sarah's Way in Smithfield Township, where Harvey's body was found, PSP said.
He was pronounced dead shortly after the accident, the Monroe County Coroner's Office said.
